Finding us
The lodges and beach houses sit on the shore at Kentallen Pier, right on the A828, about four miles south of the Ballachulish bridge. From the north, cross the bridge and follow the coast road. From the south, the A828 brings you up from Oban through Appin and past Castle Stalker.
Reception is at the Holly Tree Hotel on the same site, and parking is free at every property. Glenachulish Bay and Wildwood are a short drive from the pier, and full directions to your own property come with your booking confirmation.
If your satnav gives up, what3words has the pier at ///taped.dragonfly.fencing.
Practical
Without a car. The 918 Oban to Fort William bus (West Coast Motors) stops right outside the Holly Tree Hotel in both directions.
Taxis depend on your direction. Glencoe Taxis in Ballachulish are the closest, on 01855 811764. North Star Taxis (07507 501533) are based in Fort William, so they are the ones for that direction and for airport transfers. Coming up from Oban, Oban Taxis on 01631 564666.
The swimming pool at the Holly Tree Hotel is open 9am till 10pm daily, free to all our self-catering guests, with no booking needed. Towels are available to hire at reception for £1.
Eating. Lunch runs from 12 till 4 in the Captain's Bar. Dinner starts at 5.30 in the bar and the seafood restaurant, and finishes around 8.30 depending on the season, so ring ahead if you are making a special trip of it. Breakfast at the hotel should be booked the night before, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate you.
Dogs are welcome at every property, from £15 per dog per night, and in the Captain's Bar too.
